Job Title: Quality Control Custodian
Position Purpose: Position Purpose:
This position will implement safety, health and Quality Control procedures to ensure compliance to all criteria of the NWS Yorktown contract specifications and all applicable regulations. The SSHQCO will inspect all phases of services and operations to ensure all services listed on the Performance Work Statement are performed in a satisfactory and safe manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to the Government’s Contracting Representatives, maintains Safety and Health files, Quality Control files and documents results of all inspections.
Primary Duties:
- Implements service procedures and assesses product/equipment capabilities and specifications to establish service delivery standards and proposed safety and health expectancy of completed work.
- Maintains safety objectives and coordinates same with production procedures in cooperation with service managers to maximize service reliability and to contain costs.
- Implements safety and QC inspection procedures, checklists and schedules.
- Works in conjunction with VersAbility’s Assistant Director of Government Contracts and Contract Manager in analyzing inspection results for trends, unusual situations, safety considerations, and team/staff adherence to safety and QC standards and objectives. Communicates inspection results with VersAbility’s Assistant Director of Government Contracts – as appropriate. Releases inspection reports in accordance with contract and VersAbility’s operating procedures.
- Meets regularly with Government Performance Assessment Representatives and VersAbility’s Assistant Director of Government Contracts to provide written, and/or oral status reports on safety and QC program.
- Participates in all initial training programs and assists with conducting trainings as required or requested.
- Follows the direction of the Assistant Director of Government Contracts to investigate and correct customer complaints

- Completes required paperwork and/or documentation.
- Completes and maintains all VersAbility Resources and U.S. Government required trainings.
- Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by VersAbility Resources policy.
- Administers the Quality Assurance Program
- Coordinates solicitated feedback through surveys and groups sessions with key stakeholders in the quality process.
- Other duties as assigned, or as stated in the Statement of Work/Performance Work Statement.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years experience working with people with disabilities as well as supervising general work. Security clearance preferred.

Environmental:
Must be able to work with employees with disabilities in a supportive and managerial role. Must be able to supervise multiple tasks and quickly respond to day to day contingencies – such as employee issues concerning work requirements and adherence to the posted work schedule. Must be able to maintain effective communication with government personnel, including quality inspections, sanitation and safety practices, and following contract requirements. May work in a highly productive environment under a variety of conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one building to another, push heavy equipment, twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the course of the day.
