Administrative Assistant Intern

Hampton, VA

Overview:
VersAbility Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Administrative Intern with a degree in Public Policy or a related field to support our Government Contracts team. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in gaining practical experience at the intersection of public policy, nonprofit service delivery, and federal contracting. The intern will assist in day-to-day administrative tasks, compliance tracking, and documentation to ensure efficient contract operations.

We are seeking candidates who reside in Virginia and can work onsite at our corporate location in Hampton, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing reports, summaries, and documentation required for contract audits and internal reviews.
  • Conduct research on public policy trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in government contracting.
  • Help coordinate internal meetings, draft agendas, and take notes for contract-related discussions.
  • Perform data entry, track deliverables and deadlines, and support contract lifecycle documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, and finance, to support contract goals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to contract administration and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Currently a Junior or Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field requiring a GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Strong interest in nonprofit work, disability advocacy, and/or federal contracting\Excellent communication, research, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
