Position Purpose:  

The Production Control Clerk is responsible for compiling and analyzing production data to ensure efficient quality and production goals for contract.   The Production Control Clerk will administer the contract’s quality control program and ensure compliance to all the contract’s requirements. 


Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for compiling and recording production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, material consumption, quality control and other aspects of production.
  • Calculates quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects as well as worker and department production rates using computer calculator or spread sheets.
  • Writes work tickets to use as guides for production workers.
  • Follows established guidelines and priorities
  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies 
  • Produces computer generated reports, reviews information with onsite managers and supervisors and transmits information to managers executives
  • Prepares written work schedules
  • Compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
  • Maintains multiple data sets maintains and reports using charts, graphs and peg boards based on statistics compiled by production management and personnel.
  • Communicates with management to address and resolve day to day issues
  • Creates work tickets and individual
  • Calculates factors like quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects and worker and department production rates.
  • Writes reports and presents information based on data compiled and computed
  • Follows SECNAV Naval Correspondence Manual to format documents for Executive Leadership.
  • Drafts documents as request for Executive Leadership.
  • Manages trackers to compile analysis of taskers and their completion status, and provides a report of findings.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications/Skills Knowledge & Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in production, manufacturing, administration, and/or policy writing.


Skills Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of mathematical calculations and statistics
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency of excel and data entry/calculation software
  • Ability to calculate and present complicated data
  • Skilled in communication and computer skills
